Financial Controller – Real Estate Shared Services

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead financial governance, compliance and integrity for the Real Estate operations of Cairo Festival City. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the role ensures robust control frameworks, accurate accounting, and timely financial reporting to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Own, define and approve accounting policies and procedures in line with IFRS, Al‑Futtaim standards and real‑estate business needs.
• Act as the primary reference for complex accounting judgments and interpretations across the organization.
• Lead impact assessments of new and amended accounting standards and ensure consistent implementation.
• Enforce the Al‑Futtaim financial control framework, ensuring compliance across all business units and legal entities.
• Drive continuous improvement of internal controls through process redesign, automation and system enhancements.
• Govern finance systems and SAP‑interfaced platforms to maintain data integrity and robust controls.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close, ensuring discipline, accuracy and timeliness.
• Establish balance‑sheet substantiation standards and manage intercompany accounting, reconciliation and settlement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in developing and applying accounting policies and standards.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and ability to interpret complex accounting issues.
• Demonstrated expertise in internal control frameworks and compliance enforcement.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems in a finance environment.
• Track record of leading financial close processes and delivering accurate consolidated reports.
