Finishing Estimator

About the role

We are looking for a Finishing Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for architectural finishing packages, covering flooring, wall finishes, ceilings, painting, decorative elements, doors, partitions, sanitary works and more. The role supports the sales and tendering process by analysing drawings, specifications, BOQs and supplier quotations.

Key responsibilities

• Study tender documents, drawings, BOQs and specifications related to architectural finishing works.
• Identify the full project scope, including flooring, wall finishes, ceilings, painting, decorative finishes, doors, partitions, sanitary finishes, metal works and other elements.
• Perform quantity take‑offs from drawings, specifications and BOQs.
• Prepare material take‑offs for all finishing items.
• Obtain quotations from local suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors.
• Calculate material, labour, installation, wastage, logistics and other project‑related costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain technical and commercial proposals.
• Liaise with procurement, design and project teams to validate specifications and pricing.
• Prepare detailed cost sheets, estimation summaries and pricing comparisons.
• Support the preparation of commercial offers and tender submissions.
• Propose value‑engineering alternatives while maintaining design intent, quality and project requirements.
• Maintain updated cost databases for finishing materials, suppliers, subcontractors and market pricing.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in architectural finishing estimation, interior fit‑out, building construction, contracting or finishing works.
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of architectural finishing materials, systems and construction methods.
• Ability to read architectural, interior design and construction drawings.
• Proficiency in BOQ preparation and quantity take‑off.
• Good understanding of costing, pricing, procurement and commercial evaluation.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
