Freelance Senior Naval Communication Technician

About the role

ATEXIS Group is looking for a local freelance Senior Technician to lead the installation, testing, maintenance and repair of naval communication systems on a project site in Alexandria. The role is hands‑on, on‑site, and requires managing technical activities while ensuring compliance with operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission communication equipment and unitary devices according to manuals.
• Perform cabling, cable repair, material handling, stock management and inventory control.
• Execute verification and non‑regression tests, write fault/problem reports and develop test procedures.
• Update network switches and servers, troubleshoot Linux/Windows environments using virtual machines.
• Wire and configure radios, modems and other communication gear; define and fabricate custom cables.
• Lead and coordinate a team of technicians throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in naval installation, testing, maintenance and repair of communication systems.
• Familiarity with military‑type environments is desirable.
• Advanced English proficiency (minimum B2).
• Customer‑oriented, results‑driven with strong communication skills.
