Frontend Developer (React.js)

About the role

Flatgigs is looking for a skilled Frontend Developer with strong experience in React.js and modern frontend practices. You will build scalable, responsive, high-performance web applications integrated with RESTful APIs and microservices-based backends, working closely with backend engineers, product managers, designers and QA engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern web applications with React.js, building reusable, scalable UI components.
• Integrate frontend apps with REST APIs and microservices, and work with backend teams on API contracts, authentication and error handling.
• Manage application state with Redux / Redux Toolkit or other solutions, and implement loading, error, empty and success states.
• Handle authentication and authorization flows, including token-based auth, and manage asynchronous API calls.
• Optimize performance, page load time, rendering and bundle size, and write clean, documented, modular code.
• Participate in code reviews, collaborate with QA engineers, and troubleshoot frontend bugs and production issues.
• Work with Git-based workflows, pull requests and release workflows, and help improve frontend architecture.

Required profile

• Strong hands-on React.js experience, including functional components, hooks, props, state, Context API and custom hooks.
• Experience building large-scale React applications and with Redux / Redux Toolkit.
• Ability to integrate React apps with microservices and REST APIs, including pagination, filtering, sorting, file uploads and webhooks.
• Understanding of frontend architecture, design patterns, component-driven architecture and feature-based folder structures.
• Good communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills, and comfort in a fast-paced product environment.

Required skills

• JavaScript (ES6+) and good understanding of TypeScript.
• Modern CSS and responsive design; frameworks such as Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap or Material UI.
• Git and GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket, with CI/CD understanding a plus.
• Nice to have: Next.js, React Query / TanStack Query, Storybook, Jest / Vitest, Cypress / Playwright, Docker, AWS, Micro Frontends, real-time apps and Agile/Scrum.
