Funded Traineeship – Political, Press & Information (EU Delegation, Egypt)

About the role

The EU Delegation to Egypt offers a six‑month funded traineeship within its Political, Press and Information (PPI) Section. This position provides recent graduates with hands‑on experience in diplomatic communication, media relations and public diplomacy, supporting the EU’s presence in Egypt.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on political and press topics relevant to the EU Delegation.
• Support daily PPI activities, including meeting preparation and logistical tasks.
• Assist in the creation and dissemination of press releases, statements and public‑diplomacy materials.
• Update the Delegation’s website and social‑media platforms.
• Draft minutes and reports from meetings and media coverage.

Required profile

• University degree in Communications, Business, Economics, Social Sciences, Law or Political Science.
• Strong interest in Egyptian politics and EU external relations.
• Less than one year of professional experience after graduation.
• Residency in the Arab Republic of Egypt at the time of application.

Required skills

• Excellent analytical and drafting abilities.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (Egyptian).
