General Manager – 4‑Star Resort in Hurghada

About the role

As General Manager of the Mercure Hurghada resort, you will be the brand ambassador and strategic leader responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving profitability and growth in a competitive Red Sea market.

Key responsibilities

• Direct overall management and strategic direction of the resort, ensuring all departments meet operational and financial targets aligned with Mercure standards.
• Maximize profitability through effective financial management, revenue optimization across all outlets, and rigorous cost control.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and local Egyptian legislation across the property.
• Oversee integrated resort operations—including guest services, food & beverage, rooms, recreation, and beach facilities—to provide a cohesive premium leisure experience.
• Lead recruitment, selection, and talent development to build a high‑performing, engaged team.
• Foster strong relationships with the local community and stakeholders to enhance market position.
• Maintain premium product and service quality, driving positive reviews, loyalty, and repeat business.
• Promote and embody the Mercure brand identity, ensuring consistent execution of brand standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years experience in a General Manager or senior leadership role within a 4‑star hotel, resort, or comparable hospitality operation.
• Proven track record of leading multi‑department teams to achieve revenue growth and profitability targets.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic vision for positioning a resort as a premier destination.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate staff.
