General Manager – Petroleum Services

About the role

We are a well‑established petroleum services company seeking a General Manager to lead our strategic direction and overall business performance in Cairo, Egypt. The role oversees all operational, engineering, quality, HSE, finance, HR, procurement and commercial activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic and operational plans to achieve sustainable growth and profitability.
• Lead workshop and field operations including OCTG services, machine‑shop manufacturing, API & premium connection rethreading, repair, bucking, welding and hard‑banding.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners and industry stakeholders.
• Manage budgets, optimise costs and meet revenue and profitability targets.
• Monitor performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvement across all departments.
• Ensure compliance with API, ISO, customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, integrity and operational excellence.
• Identify new market opportunities and support business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• An MBA or Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in the Oil & Gas or petroleum services industry.
• At least 7 years in a senior leadership or executive management role.
