German Teacher & Head of Department (Academic Year 26-27)

About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for an experienced German Teacher who will also serve as Head of Department for the 2026‑27 academic year. The role combines classroom teaching with strategic leadership of the German language programme.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the German department, including curriculum planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Deliver German language lessons, creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
• Mentor and support teaching staff to improve instructional quality and professional development.
• Develop strategies to boost student engagement and academic performance in German.
• Coordinate departmental meetings, liaise with school management and contribute to school‑wide initiatives.
• Stay current with curriculum changes, educational trends and best practices in language teaching.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in German Language, Education or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching German and holding a leadership role, preferably as Head of Department.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to motivate and inspire both students and staff.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
