GFS Operator – Cylinder Filling & Logistics

About the role

The GFS Operator is responsible for organizing and executing cylinder filling operations while minimizing handling and ensuring safety. You will work on both empty and full cylinders, handling inspection, sorting, and loading tasks in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Organize cylinder filling to reduce handling, filling stock before out‑off and covering customer requirements after out‑off.
• Inspect new and returned cylinders and bundles (year test, accessories, paints, valves, caps) and sort them for filling or maintenance.
• Manage empty‑cylinder workflows: unload trucks, select cylinders, verify test dates, and position them in the buffer zone.
• Pick and load full cylinders according to customer orders, using forklift for secondary distribution.
• Start and stop filling processes safely, control connections, valve manipulation, batch numbering, sticker application, and traceability forms.
• Monitor production parameters, perform tests, and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Act as first responder in emergencies, initiate safety procedures, and report unsafe behavior.
• Maintain a clean work area at the end of each shift.

Required profile

• Technical degree (minimum 2 years of study).
• 1 to 3 years of experience in an industrial or logistics environment.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Cylinder inspection and handling.
• Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and emergency response.
• Ability to follow detailed filling and traceability processes.
