GL Accountant

About the role
Americana Restaurants, a leading restaurant operator in the MENA region, is seeking a motivated GL Accountant to join its finance team. You will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, supporting month‑end close, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across a portfolio of well‑known restaurant brands.
Key responsibilities
- Book financial data and transactions into the general ledger.
- Prepare and maintain monthly GL journal entries with proper documentation.
- Review and reconcile bank and credit‑card statements.
- Assist other departments with accounting queries and issues.
- Perform accounting analyses and reporting to support decision‑making.
- Execute month‑end closing activities and reconciliations.
- Provide periodic financial reports.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
- 1‑3 years of solid experience managing a general ledger.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Experience using an ERP system.
