GL Accountant – UAE & KSA

About the role

Mazeed is looking for a General Ledger Accountant to support daily accounting operations for its UAE and KSA business units. You will ensure accurate transaction recording, perform reconciliations, and assist with month‑end closing while collaborating with an international finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions for UAE and KSA entities in the ERP system.
• Post expense entries, accruals, prepaid expenses and adjustments following SOPs.
• Perform bank, petty‑cash and balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support fixed‑asset tracking, depreciation entries and payment voucher preparation.
• Assist with monthly closing activities under guidance of the Chief Accountant.
• Coordinate with Admin, HR and Operations for expense and payroll data.
• Prepare VAT, payroll and statutory reporting documentation.
• Provide schedules and documents for audits and internal reviews.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of accounting experience or a fresh graduate with strong fundamentals.
• High attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and strong ownership of tasks.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables a plus).
• Exposure to ERP or accounting systems.
