Government Relations Specialist

About the role

The Government Relations Specialist will support Elsewedy Electric’s Graduate Development Program by managing interactions with Egyptian governmental authorities. This entry‑level position ensures the company remains compliant with local regulations while obtaining and renewing necessary licences and permits.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop relationships with the Labor Office, Social Insurance, GAFI, IDA, Tax Authority, Commercial Registry, Chamber of Commerce and other relevant bodies.
• Obtain, renew and register licences, permits and official registrations.
• Represent the company during inspections, official meetings and regulatory audits.
• Monitor changes in Egyptian laws and regulations, ensuring timely compliance.
• Assist expatriate employees with permits and related governmental procedures.
• Prepare and submit official correspondence, statutory filings and legal documentation.
• Maintain and update legal records, licences, approvals and compliance files.
• Coordinate notarisation, legalisation and authentication of company documents.
• Track document expiry dates and manage renewal processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• 0–2 years of professional experience.
• Good command of English.
