Head of Enterprise Security Architecture

About the role

The Head of Enterprise Security Architecture will define and steer the security architecture strategy for Banque Misr across all technology layers, including infrastructure, applications, databases, networks and container environments. This senior position requires a strategic vision, strong leadership and deep technical expertise to protect the bank’s digital ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive security architecture framework covering infrastructure, application, database, network and container security.
• Establish security policies for servers, storage, network devices and cloud resources to ensure resilience against threats.
• Define secure development practices, security testing procedures and promote DevSecOps across application teams.
• Implement data protection controls such as encryption, access management and continuous monitoring for all database platforms.
• Oversee network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion‑prevention systems and monitoring.
• Design and enforce container security protocols, including Kubernetes hardening, image scanning and access controls.
• Provide standards, guidelines and procedures for security architecture to be applied across all projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 13+ years of experience in security architecture or a closely related role.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH or cloud‑security certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Security architecture design for infrastructure, applications, databases, networks and containers.
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, intrusion‑prevention systems and network monitoring tools.
• Experience with container orchestration security, especially Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in encryption, access control mechanisms and continuous security monitoring.
• Understanding of secure development lifecycle and DevSecOps practices.
