Head of EYFS

About the role

The Head of EYFS will lead the Early Years Foundation Stage at a prestigious British school in New Cairo, overseeing curriculum delivery, staff development and the overall educational experience for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic academic and curriculum leadership for the EYFS department.
• Ensure effective delivery of the English National Curriculum across early years.
• Model best practice in planning, teaching, marking and assessment.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing teaching team.
• Manage competing priorities, solve problems and maintain high standards under pressure.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (Master's degree desirable).
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience in academic or curriculum leadership roles.
• Experience delivering the English National Curriculum.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational abilities.
• Resilient, adaptable, flexible with a sense of humour.
• International school experience and knowledge of UK independent school education are desirable.
