Head of Innovation Lab – Egypt

About the role

The Head of Innovation Lab will lead the development of new applications, products and services for Orange's INNOV division and its affiliates across the region. Reporting to senior leadership, you will steer a 140‑person team, manage a €5M+ budget, and ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of high‑quality projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a consistent lab strategy aligned with global IT and INNOV objectives.
• Design the lab organization, hire and develop talent, and maintain an agile, flat structure.
• Set objectives, monitor KPIs, and manage the production and financial budget.
• Lead the deployment of INNOV projects, fostering relationships with affiliates, technical and business stakeholders.
• Promote federation and platform initiatives across country and region.
• Ensure compliance with quality, security, GDPR, eco‑design and CSR standards.
• Maintain premises, equipment and on‑site security in collaboration with the local hosting partner.
• Oversee talent management, career path development and market salary benchmarking.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in the IT/technical industry, preferably within telecom B2B or B2C environments.
• Strong innovation mindset and proven ability to build and lead large, multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent understanding of technical strategy, budgeting and stakeholder management.
