Head of Localization – Manufacturing & Supply Chain

About the role

NERIC is seeking a Head of Localization to shape and drive its localization strategy across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and supply‑chain functions. The role will lead the development of local content, supplier networks, and technology transfer initiatives to meet strategic localization targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive localization roadmap aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead local content creation for engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and supply‑chain teams.
• Identify, qualify, and develop local suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Drive industrialization and technology‑transfer projects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve localization KPIs.
• Monitor compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards.
• Support localization efforts during tenders and major projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, industry partners, and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in rolling stock, railway, automotive, or heavy‑manufacturing industries.
• Proven track record in localization, supplier development, industrialization, or manufacturing development.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply‑chain localization, and international quality standards.
• Experience with a major rolling‑stock OEM is a strong advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
