Health Coordinator – Community Health Services

About the role

The Health Coordinator will lead community health activities in Aswan, supporting refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrant communities. This includes hiring, training and supervising Community Health Workers, and coordinating health promotion and screening sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop referral maps and guide CHWs on service pathways, including SGBV case identification and referral.
• Support implementation of referral pathways to secondary and tertiary hospitals and ensure cost coverage.
• Co‑train CHWs and partners on health promotion topics such as SGBV, NCDs, and RMNCH.
• Assist local NGOs in establishing and maintaining community health services.
• Deliver health promotion sessions for refugees, migrants and host communities.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare regular progress reports and enter service utilization data.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in medicine, pharmacy or related medical field.
• 2‑3 years experience implementing and supervising community health services, preferably with refugee or marginalized groups.
• Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) and good knowledge of English.
• Commitment to Save the Children’s values and child safeguarding.
