Health Safety Environment Engineer

About the role

The Health Safety Environment Engineer will lead the development and execution of health, safety and security programs for a manufacturing environment in Egypt. The role combines risk assessment, training delivery and incident management to ensure a safe workplace that complies with local regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of health and safety programs in line with regulations and company policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and site inspections, identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
• Maintain fire safety systems and emergency preparedness plans.
• Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures.
• Manage security personnel, coordinate shift schedules and monitor surveillance systems.
• Conduct regular security audits and handle incidents such as theft, breaches or emergencies.
• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency response teams when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Security Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of security systems, safety regulations and risk management.
• Proven leadership, crisis management and communication skills.
• Ability to work outside the office and maintain connections with the Safety Office in 10th of Ramadan City.
• Occupational Health and Safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is a plus.
