Hostess

About the role

The Hostess will be the first point of contact for guests at the Sheraton hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. This full‑time, on‑site role focuses on creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth seating and dining experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size and seat them at clean, available tables.
• Pull out chairs, place menus, and ensure each setting includes a napkin, clean silverware and any other required items.
• Guide guests through the dining area, assist with special‑needs seating and monitor table availability.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, follow clean‑as‑you‑go procedures and keep menus current and wrinkle‑free.
• Observe safety and security policies, report incidents and complete required training.
• Maintain a professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Answer telephone calls using proper etiquette and provide courteous assistance.
• Stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
