Host/Hostess – Guest Service

About the role

Join Marriott International as a Host/Hostess in Cairo, where you will be the first point of contact for guests and help create a welcoming dining experience. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on greeting, seating, and supporting guests throughout their visit.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size, and escort them to clean, prepared tables.
• Pull out chairs, place menus, and ensure each setting includes a napkin, clean silverware, and any required items.
• Arrange tables and seating for groups with special needs and maintain an organized dining floor.
• Monitor menu condition, keep work areas clean using clean‑as‑you‑go procedures, and uphold safety standards.
• Answer telephone calls with professional etiquette and follow company policies on security, accidents, and uniform appearance.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve service goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior experience or supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or placing objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
