Hotel Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Laundry Attendant ensures the hotel’s linen, terry and clothing are cleaned, maintained and presented to the highest standards. Working on‑site at Rixos Premium Seagate, you will support the housekeeping team by handling all aspects of laundry operations while adhering to safety, hygiene and environmental guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Protect and maintain all laundry equipment, tools and uniforms in line with company policies.
• Inspect linen and terry for damage, remove defective items from circulation, and keep records of loads and dry‑cleaning poundage.
• Sort soiled items by colour, fabric and cleaning method before washing or dry‑cleaning.
• Load, transport and operate washers, dryers and related machinery, ensuring correct load sizes.
• Handle chemicals safely, store them according to regulations, and minimise environmental impact through proper waste disposal.
• Support quality‑management procedures and perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• At least a primary school education or a vocational diploma.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar laundry or housekeeping role.
• Ability to work flexibly, adapt to changing demands and tolerate stress.
• No foreign language or computer literacy required.
