Hotel Manager – River Cruise (Egypt)

About the role

The Hotel Manager is a key member of the Front Office team on Viking’s River vessels operating in Egypt. Reporting to the Corporate Operations Manager, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding guest satisfaction while maintaining profitability through efficient hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the entire hotel operation on board in line with Viking standards.
• Lead, motivate and supervise a multicultural crew, ensuring high levels of service.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and order across all public and private areas.
• Control costs, adhere to budgets and manage inventory effectively.
• Anticipate guest needs, resolve complaints and participate in onboard events.
• Oversee the Food & Beverage department, including crew scheduling, days off and vacation planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or hospitality management, preferably on a cruise ship or similar environment.
• Strong leadership and team‑building abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a guest‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work within budgetary constraints and manage inventory.
• Flexibility to work on a 90‑days‑on / 14‑21‑days‑off rotation schedule.
