Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for directing and controlling day‑to‑day housekeeping operations on floors and public areas, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in a 5‑star hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assign and oversee work of supervisory and non‑supervisory staff to provide prompt, courteous service to guests and other departments.
• Inspect public areas, floors, and VIP rooms to ensure they meet hotel standards and are well maintained.
• Coordinate with other housekeeping sections and hotel departments on room status, repairs, and appearance issues.
• Assist in recruitment, performance management, training needs identification, and delivery of monthly training sessions.
• Schedule routine inspections, control usage of amenities and cleaning supplies, and monitor procedures such as Lost & Found, key control, security, and health & safety.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of supervisory experience in a housekeeping department, preferably in a 5‑star hotel.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Demonstrated teamwork, problem‑solving, decision‑making and ability to motivate others.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, equipment and machines.
• Understanding of housekeeping procedures and standards.
