HSE Associate Manager – Health, Safety & Environment

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Associate Manager to develop, implement and continuously improve our Health, Safety and Environmental management system. The role ensures compliance with Egyptian legislation, corporate standards and international best practices while fostering a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the HSE management system, ensuring alignment with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Lead risk assessments, hazard identification and control measure implementation.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety observations to ensure compliance.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near‑misses, determine root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Design and deliver HSE training programs to raise employee awareness and competence.
• Monitor environmental performance, including waste, emissions, energy use and sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare and submit HSE reports, KPIs and regulatory documentation.
• Lead emergency preparedness, crisis management and business continuity planning.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and HR to embed HSE into all operations.
• Manage HSE audits and coordinate with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• 7–10 years of HSE experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in a multinational FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian HSE regulations and international standards.
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 implementation.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience leading HSE audits, incident investigations and emergency response programs.
