HSE Officer – Health, Safety & Environment

About the role

Hemaya EG is seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to lead health, safety and environmental initiatives across its facility in 10th of Ramadan City. You will ensure compliance with regulations, drive continuous improvement, and foster a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures and safety programs.
• Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, preparing corrective action reports.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and HSE awareness training.
• Monitor PPE usage, Permit to Work (PTW) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) systems.
• Maintain emergency response procedures and test them regularly.
• Oversee environmental practices, waste management and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports and incident statistics.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering and Management to improve safety performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 + years of industrial safety experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction or similar facilities.
• Valid HSE certification such as NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or IOSH Managing Safely (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, risk assessment and accident investigation techniques.
• Familiarity with Egyptian occupational health & safety regulations and international HSE practices.
