HSE Officer – Ready-Mix Concrete (Outsource)

About the role

The HSE Officer will oversee health, safety and environmental practices for Lafarge's ready‑mix concrete operations. Working on‑site at the Ain Al‑Sokhna plant, you will ensure compliance with regulations, drive risk mitigation and support contractors and staff in maintaining a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the risk management process, including registration, data entry validation and follow‑up with area owners.
• Develop and monitor site‑specific risk assessments (SWI) and ensure mitigation measures are implemented.
• Train and assess contractors’ H&S officers and workers, maintaining up‑to‑date training records.
• Generate periodic trend and analysis reports from the H&S training system.
• Ensure availability and proper use of quality PPE and enforce site‑specific PPE procedures.
• Plan and conduct emergency drills, track actions and ensure closure.
• Implement HSE programs and circulation plans, coordinating with the HSE operations team.
• Design layouts for fire equipment and exits, and participate in hazard identification and risk control activities.
• Issue permits as authorized and support daily HSE operational activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
• Minimum 2‑3 years of HSE experience in heavy industry, preferably ready‑mix concrete.
• Strong knowledge of cement, aggregates and concrete operations is a plus.
• Additional HSE certifications are advantageous.
• Must be a Cairo resident (no accommodation provided).

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Experience using mobile applications for HSE data collection.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments (SWI) and issue permits.
