HSE Project Manager

About the role

The HSE Project Manager will lead the development and implementation of health, safety and environmental management systems for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations. This role supports the Area HSE Manager and acts as the primary liaison with consultants, clients and authorities on HSE matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Area HSE manager in assessing project HSE standards and overall compliance.
• Monitor HSE team performance, ensuring adherence to the HSE Management System, plans and legal requirements.
• Develop, review and enforce project risk assessments and control measures.
• Organise and lead site walks, HSE committee meetings and monthly safety audits.
• Coordinate training, inspections and reporting of safety statistics to the HSE Director.

Required profile

• HSE degree or diploma with additional qualifications required by local authorities.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in reputable contracting companies operating in the GCC.
• Computer literate with strong knowledge of HSE standards, operational hazards and international regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently, influence teams and conduct thorough risk assessments.
