Human Resources Generalist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support our large construction workforce in Benghazi, Libya. The role focuses on HR operations, employee accommodation, visa administration, and compliance for a workforce of over 10,000 staff members.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee HR operations and administrative services for both blue‑collar and white‑collar employees.
• Manage worker housing allocations, camp facilities, and hygiene standards.
• Implement employee welfare programs, conduct satisfaction surveys, and drive retention initiatives.
• Maintain accurate HR records using Oracle HRMS and Excel, generate reports, and ensure compliance with local labor laws.
• Handle employee relations, grievance investigations, and disciplinary actions in coordination with legal teams.
• Coordinate visa, work permit processing, renewals, and cancellations with PRO teams.
• Arrange travel, relocation logistics, and business‑trip support for staff.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline HR processes and support organizational goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HR experience in the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale accommodation and workforce services.
• Strong knowledge of visa processing, travel coordination, and employee relations.
• Native Arabic speaker with good English proficiency.
