I2P Senior Manager

About the role

The I2P Senior Manager will lead the Accounts Payable Shared Service Centre (SSC) to deliver world‑class service excellence for internal AFG stakeholders and external partners such as suppliers and banks. The role focuses on process innovation, automation, cost optimisation and building strong banking relationships across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day direction and leadership to the entire Accounts Payable team, fostering employee growth.
• Create a culture of continuous business‑process improvement and embed CI practices.
• Identify, recommend and deploy improvements in AP processes.
• Monitor performance measures defined by the Service Management Framework and ensure SLA compliance.
• Maintain budgetary accountability and control costs for the I2P cost centre.
• Collaborate with finance, corporate, treasury and governance teams to align with policies and drive controls.
• Manage customer relationships, resolve escalations promptly, and ensure service level agreements are met.
• Define clear RACI and SOW documentation.
• Coordinate audit, compliance activities and internal controls.
• Coach, develop and motivate talent to achieve superior performance.
• Drive automation and productivity improvements across the I2P process.
• Support transformation initiatives such as SWIFT, in‑house banking and supply‑chain financing.

Required profile

• Recognised professional accounting qualification.
• 10‑15 years of experience managing a finance shared service centre or equivalent.
• Proven experience setting up a Finance SSC and embedding a continuous‑improvement culture.
• Strong people‑management and development capabilities.
• Ability to deliver results in a dynamic, changing environment.
• Knowledge of change‑management models and SSC best practices.
