ICT, Security, Telecommunications & ELV Engineer

About the role

Dar is looking for highly motivated engineers to design and develop building and infrastructure technology systems. You will work on smart IoT solutions, ICT networks, electronic security, extra‑low‑voltage, and audio‑visual systems across a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Smart Technology & Innovation (IoT) systems, ICT systems (structured cabling, data communication, telephony, wireless LAN), electronic security systems (video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection), ELV systems (fire detection & alarm, public address) and audio‑visual solutions.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal teams to capture project requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines to ensure seamless integration of technology systems within overall project designs.
• Identify and resolve design and technical issues throughout project development.
• Prepare detailed design reports, drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in ICT, security, ELV or related fields.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Design tools: iBwave, EASE, Revit, AutoCAD.
• Technical knowledge of structured cabling, data communication, telephony, wireless LAN, video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, fire detection & alarm, public address, audio‑visual and IoT systems.
• Industry certifications (preferred): BICSI (RCDD, DCDC), Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), AVIXA (CTS, CTS‑D).
