Information Security Officer - Egypt

About the role

Citi is hiring an Information Security Officer in Cairo, Egypt, accountable for the Cybersecurity function. The role carries executive-level privileges and authority, with no overlap with conflicting positions, and leads efforts to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Citi's information and information assets in line with the Cyber and Information Security Policy.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Information Security subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and team members.
• Manage cyber issues, monitor them and engage regulators, including in Egypt and beyond.
• Work with the first, second and third lines of defense and coordinate with first-line partners on internal and external questionnaires and exams.
• Facilitate stakeholder responses to reviewers and report findings, risks and control gaps to senior management.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and control weaknesses, run the issue management process and oversee timely remediation.
• Mentor and coach new team members and work with limited direct supervision.

Required profile

• 10 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to act independently with a limited level of supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency in interpreting and applying policies, standards and procedures.
• Analytical skills and proven influence and relationship management skills.
• At least one active international information security certification such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, C-CISO or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer.
