Infra/Security Manager, Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

PwC's ETIC advisory practice in Cairo is looking for an Infra/Security Manager to join its technology team. This hands-on role suits someone with extensive infrastructure and security expertise who can independently handle complex technical issues. The manager works on infrastructure and security items from the backlog, improving compliance and reducing technical debt, and acts as second-in-command for Edge Infrastructure Management.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with teams across the UK, US, Australia and other regions to deliver projects on scope, time, quality and budget.
• Work through the backlog of unresolved items, including NIS compliance, infrastructure changes, technical debt and infrastructure improvements.
• Take ownership of issues from first contact to resolution, coordinating with PwC teams and departments such as NIS and Edge development.
• Work largely independently under the direction of the Edge Infrastructure team.
• Implement and advocate for industry best practices in Cloud and DevOps, adapting tools and processes to business needs.
• Mentor junior and senior team members.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure and Security roles, with significant expertise in building and managing large-scale web applications in production.
• Practical experience deploying applications and managing large-scale cloud-based web applications.
• University bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or Communications Engineering.
• Fluent English, speaking and writing.

Required skills

• Expertise in Azure and other cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm charts.
• Knowledge of web application, network and infrastructure security, including compliance, security scanning and secure coding.
• Experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Nice to have: Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL and Java application deployment.
