Internal Audit Assistant Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Internal Audit Assistant Manager to split time between our Gouna and Cairo offices. The role supports the Internal Audit Manager in planning, executing, and reporting on audits across operations, finance, and real‑estate projects, ensuring compliance with IIA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in kick‑off, understanding and validation meetings and help develop audit programs and risk assessments.
• Define detailed audit steps, gather and analyse data to identify control gaps and risks.
• Supervise and perform fieldwork, ensuring audit working papers are complete, accurate and cross‑referenced.
• Evaluate internal controls, test processes, and assess compliance with policies.
• Identify findings, discuss results with risk owners and draft practical recommendations.
• Prepare audit reports, conduct closing meetings with department heads and follow up on management action plans.
• Maintain confidentiality, objectivity and adherence to quality standards throughout the audit process.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and coaching to junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodologies.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in internal audit or related fields, preferably within finance, operations or real‑estate environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to evaluate data and identify control weaknesses.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with risk owners and senior management.
• Commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards and teamwork.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IIA standards and internal audit best practices.
• Proficiency in audit documentation and reporting.
