Internal Audit Associate

About the role

We are seeking an Internal Audit Associate to join our finance team. In this role you will support the internal audit function by executing audit engagements, preparing documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen controls and compliance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Execute internal audit engagements, including interviews, document reviews, and testing procedures.
• Prepare working papers that demonstrate completion of the audit program.
• Perform audit follow‑ups and validate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Draft clear, concise audit reports with findings, recommendations, and action plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely implementation of recommendations and monitor progress.
• Stay updated on emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in internal auditing.
• Assist in developing and maintaining internal audit policies, procedures, and methodologies.
• Participate in special investigations or ad‑hoc assignments as required.
• Promote a culture of compliance, ethics, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIA or progress toward obtaining one is preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) and auditing standards (e.g., IIA standards).

Required skills

• Proficiency with the COSO internal control framework.
• Familiarity with IIA auditing standards.
• Experience conducting audit testing procedures.
• Ability to develop and apply internal audit policies and methodologies.
