Internal Auditing Section Head

About the role

Minapharm Pharmaceuticals is seeking an experienced Internal Auditing Section Head to lead the planning, execution, and reporting of all financial audit engagements. The role ensures robust financial controls, compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and delivers evidence‑based audit findings to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a risk‑based annual audit plan aligned with corporate strategy.
• Design and update audit work programs covering AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, treasury, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
• Lead audit teams, allocate tasks, review working papers, and ensure adherence to IIA standards and quality benchmarks.
• Conduct opening and closing meetings with auditee department heads and document minutes.
• Identify, assess, and document financial risks affecting strategic and operational objectives.
• Execute special or unplanned audit assignments as directed by the Audit Committee or Senior Manager.
• Prepare draft audit reports with clear findings and actionable recommendations for senior review.
• Issue Corrective/Preventive Action Requests (CPAR) for identified non‑conformities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading financial audit engagements, preferably in a large, regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior management.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, ACCA) is desirable.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IIA audit standards and best practices.
• Experience with financial audit work‑program development.
• Ability to assess financial risks and design effective mitigation strategies.
