Internal Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal support across our business divisions. The role combines corporate and commercial law expertise with a focus on protecting the organization’s interests while enabling growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal advice on corporate and commercial matters to business units.
• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on complex commercial agreements such as supply, service and distribution contracts.
• Lead legal aspects of mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructurings, disposals and other strategic transactions.
• Review corporate policies, legal documents and governance frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks, delivering practical, business‑oriented solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on compliance, corporate governance and strategic initiatives.
• Support contract negotiations and provide guidance throughout the contract lifecycle.

Required profile

• LL.B. (or equivalent) with postgraduate legal qualifications considered an advantage.
• 6–8 years post‑qualification experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably in a multinational or large corporate environment.
• Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Strong knowledge of M&A transactions, corporate governance and compliance.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast‑paced environment.
