Inventory Controller

About the role

AngloGold Ashanti’s Sukari gold mine is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to manage stock levels that support uninterrupted mining and processing operations. You will be responsible for monitoring inventory movements, validating system‑driven replenishment, and ensuring critical materials are available when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain optimal stock levels to meet consumption requirements and avoid production shutdowns.
• Conduct regular stock reviews, calculate lead times, and apply ABC controls for replenishment cycles.
• Prepare zero‑stock and delayed‑order reports, highlight abnormal consumption, and expedite late orders.
• Validate system‑recommended orders, filter allocations, and resolve outstanding items.
• Engage with end‑users to understand annual usage, fluctuations, and obtain approvals for high‑value items.
• Develop forward plans for A‑category items, reagents, and explosives, monitoring trial impacts.
• Lead warehouse and catalogue staff, ensure timely end‑of‑month and daily reporting, and maintain data integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Approximately six years of warehousing experience, including four years in a similar inventory control role.
• Strong written and oral English communication (British English level 8/10).
• Proven ability to meet deadlines, ensure data security, and deliver high service levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with inventory/warehouse management systems.
