Inventory Team Leader

About the role

The Inventory Team Leader will oversee inventory operations across four retail stores and a central warehouse for Sharaf DG Egypt. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures accurate stock records, optimal stock levels, and efficient handling to support retail and distribution activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate stock records across all stores and the central warehouse using integrated inventory systems.
• Lead a team of 8‑10 inventory executives, conducting performance reviews, training and development.
• Direct daily/weekly cycle counts, spot checks, annual physical inventories and manage negative‑on‑hand adjustments with root‑cause analysis.
• Develop and implement inventory forecasting models to minimize overstock and understock and support demand planning.
• Ensure seamless stock transfers between stores and warehouse while applying FIFO principles.
• Identify and mitigate shrink factors, collaborate with the Loss Prevention team and promote loss‑prevention training.
• Review and approve supplier invoices, manage weekly Purchase Return Reports and coordinate with Merchandising and Procurement teams.
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct risk assessments and implement controls for high‑value inventory.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of inventory management experience in retail or distribution, with at least 3 years supervising multi‑site operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Certification in inventory management such as CPIM (APICS) or equivalent.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/POS and other integrated inventory management systems.
• Ability to build and use inventory forecasting models.
• Knowledge of FIFO inventory principles and stock transfer processes.
