Investment & Business Development Manager

About the role

The Investment & Business Development Manager will lead strategic initiatives, identify market opportunities, and negotiate high‑level partnerships across the mining and natural resources sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive business development, including stakeholder engagement and joint‑venture negotiations with institutional and governmental partners.
• Lead investment analysis using advanced financial models such as DCF, scenario planning, and valuation for M&A, project financing, and equity investments.
• Prepare investment memoranda, pitch decks, feasibility studies, and term sheets in collaboration with legal, operations, and treasury teams.
• Monitor macro‑economic indicators, commodity price volatility, and competitive landscapes to advise on portfolio optimization and hedging strategies.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or MBA) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital or corporate development, preferably within mining, metals or heavy industrials.
• Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA are highly desirable.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, VBA, and Python for data analysis and financial modeling.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv Eikon, and S&P Capital IQ.
• Experience using Tableau and Power BI for data visualization.
• Strong command of English for executive‑level reporting and presentations.
