About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated Islamic Religion Teacher to join the team for the academic year 2026‑2027. The role involves delivering comprehensive Islamic Studies lessons that foster understanding, respect, and appreciation of Islamic teachings among students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Islamic Religion lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
• Encourage students to develop a deep understanding of Islamic principles, history, and culture.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse backgrounds.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Islamic teachings with other curriculum areas where appropriate.
• Engage with parents and guardians to support students' educational and spiritual development.
• Participate in school events and professional development activities related to religious education.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies, Religious Education, or a related field.
• Relevant teaching qualification or certification is preferred.
• Experience teaching Islamic Religion at primary or secondary level is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a respectful and supportive learning environment.
• Commitment to student development and fostering positive relationships within the school community.
• Successful completion of safeguarding checks and reference verification.
