IT Networking & Data Center Officer

About the role

The IT Networking & Data Center Officer is responsible for overseeing the operation, security, and continuous improvement of the organization’s communication and data center infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, and compliance of LAN/WAN, voice, and security systems across all sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily communication system operations and implement change requests.
• Administer LAN/WAN services on core and edge routers and switches.
• Maintain voice and telecommunication platforms (CCM, Unity, PRI, Recording System) and integrate them with international entities.
• Monitor network health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance and cost.
• Oversee network security devices (firewalls, IPS/IDS, email gateway, web proxy, WAF) and enforce security policies.
• Analyze system logs, conduct security audits, and produce remediation reports.
• Prepare regular reports on telecom and security infrastructure effectiveness and future strategies.
• Lead hardware and software upgrades and stay current on emerging security and communication technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
• 2‑8 years of relevant experience in networking, data‑center, or telecom environments.
• Solid knowledge of routing & switching, SD‑WAN, Cisco ACI, and Cisco VoIP.
• Familiarity with IT security technologies (firewalls, IPS/IDS, web proxy, WAF) is a plus.
