Junior Accountant

About the role

Aqualia is looking for a Junior Accountant to support the finance team at its desalination plants in Alamein. The role offers the chance to contribute to the transformation of the water sector while developing your accounting skills in an innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, observe, receive, and compile financial information from all relevant sources.
• File, organize, and maintain corporate documents, client contracts, and related records.
• Assist with implementations and upgrades of accounting systems.
• Process, code, and enter invoices and receipts for general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable transactions.
• Create and update subcontractor and supplier accounts, and generate statements.
• Serve as a contact person for the finance team on system‑related matters.
• Extract and design system reports for taxes and daily payments.
• Support senior accountants in preparing accurate and timely financial reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Residency in New Cairo, Alexandria, Marsa Matruh, the North Coast, or nearby areas.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Good knowledge of accounting techniques and principles.
