Junior Data Developer (Remote)

About the role

We are an early‑stage analytics‑focused data startup building a lean data platform for the gambling and betting sector. As a Junior Data Developer you will support platform improvements and reporting front‑ends, collaborating with a small UK‑based R&D team and an offshore BAU setup.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise and refactor existing Python and SQL code during the initial platform phase.
• Develop Python scripts that strengthen and automate reporting front‑ends.
• Own work across the core platform rather than on bespoke client tickets.
• Take tasks from vague brief to delivery with minimal direction.
• Proactively flag risks and gaps, ensuring early issue detection.

Required profile

• Proficient in reading and writing Python independently.
• Competent in writing SQL queries and handling data.
• Self‑starter mindset capable of working without detailed tickets.
• Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT daily.
• Willingness to work with gambling‑sector analytics.
