Junior Design Engineer

About the role

Join Elsewedy Electric’s Graduate Development Program as a Junior Design Engineer. You will work on plant design and piping projects within Energy EPC contracts, gaining hands‑on experience through rotations, mentorship, and targeted training.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering deliverables such as isometric drawings, calculation notes, pipeline and valve lists, material take‑offs (MTO), stress analysis reports, BOQs and as‑built documentation.
• Support procurement, construction, commissioning and start‑up activities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Verify that all designs comply with local codes and international standards (NFPA, API, ASME, ISO, EN, etc.).
• Follow company procedures and engineering department workflows.
• Contribute to the company’s lessons‑learned and knowledge‑base database.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the manager or senior engineering staff.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 0‑2 years of relevant experience or recent graduate.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Required skills

• Ability to interpret design codes such as NFPA, API, ASME, ISO and EN.
• Working knowledge of AVEVA E3D.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Plant 3D.
• Working knowledge of CEASER II.
