Junior IT Support Engineer

About the role

Dubizzle Egypt, part of the Dubizzle Group, is looking for a Junior IT Support Engineer in New Cairo City. The role provides enterprise-level assistance to users, diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware problems and helping users install applications and programs.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the IT Help Desk, resolving requests in line with SLAs
• Support all IT-related matters and give users prompt, accurate feedback
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration
• Resolve network issues, configure operating systems and use remote desktop connections
• Assign user access to tools and services, track issues to resolution and escalate unresolved ones
• Guide users through steps by phone, email or chat, and provide written instructions and manuals for complex problems
• Use ITSM software, email and chat apps to answer simple questions quickly
• Prepare accurate reports, document knowledge in notes and manuals, and maintain the IT inventory and asset repository

Required profile

• BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
• Proven internship in computer networks, IT or system administration, or 1+ year of experience in those fields
• Microsoft, Cisco, Linux or similar certification is a plus
• Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; English proficiency is a must
• Ability to explain technical matters simply and to help users step by step

Required skills

• Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (optional)
• Network troubleshooting and OS configuration
