Laundry Presser – Housekeeping

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Presser to join our housekeeping team at a leading hotel in New Cairo. The role focuses on processing, pressing and preparing laundry items to the highest quality standards for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Remove and separate soiled laundry from chutes or carts.
• Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning and drying machines according to company standards.
• Apply appropriate treatments to stained items based on fabric and stain type.
• Maintain accurate records of loads, poundage and dry‑cleaning details.
• Transport washed articles to dryers, load them correctly and clean lint screens, filters and drain traps after each cycle.
• Monitor chemical levels, report any pump issues and ensure safe handling of chemicals.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting hazards or incidents promptly.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect company assets and confidential information.
• Support team members, uphold quality standards and perform visual inspections of equipment.

Required profile

• No high‑school diploma or GED required.
• No prior related work experience needed.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
• Willingness to work in confined or elevated spaces and navigate stairs or ramps.
• Commitment to follow safety procedures and maintain confidentiality.
