Lawyer – In‑house Legal Counsel

About the role

The Lawyer will provide comprehensive legal support for El Moasser Books’ publishing, distribution and digital education activities. Based on‑site in 10th of Ramadan, the role involves contract management, regulatory compliance and advisory services to protect the company’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts with suppliers, partners and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian laws and regulations, especially those governing publishing, intellectual property and digital platforms.
• Advise senior management on legal risks and support dispute resolution.
• Coordinate with external counsel when required.
• Develop and implement internal policies and keep the organization updated on regulatory changes in the education and publishing sectors.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on legal procedures and best practices.

Required profile

• Law degree (LLB or equivalent) and membership or eligibility to practice with the Egyptian Bar Association.
• Professional expertise in commercial, corporate and contract law.
• Experience with intellectual property and copyright matters related to educational content and digital media.
• Strong analytical abilities and capacity to convey legal concepts to non‑legal stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Arabic; good command of English.
• High integrity, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
