Lead Architect Design Engineer

About the role

The Lead Architect Design Engineer will head the creation and coordination of high‑quality architectural drawings and design deliverables for large, complex projects. Working closely with the Head Office, Cairo Branch, consultants and contractors, you will ensure that all design outputs meet technical standards, codes and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation, coordination and timely delivery of architectural drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.
• Act as the main liaison between the Cairo Branch and Head Office for design updates, approvals and reporting.
• Guide drafting resources and integrate inputs from structural, mechanical, electrical and quantity surveying disciplines.
• Review project information, resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with relevant codes, including the Saudi Building Code.
• Support the project team through concept, schematic, detailed design and tender stages.
• Lead value‑engineering exercises and mentor junior architects and design staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an architecture design consultancy handling large‑scale projects.
• Previous Middle‑East experience, especially with Saudi regulations.
• Professional registration with a recognized architectural standards institution.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and strong problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with SketchUp, Rhino and other 3D‑modelling software.
• In‑depth knowledge of internationally accepted architecture design principles and safety/quality systems.
• Familiarity with the Saudi Building Code and other relevant design standards.
