Lead Software Engineer - Java Full Stack

About the role

Integrant is hiring a Lead Software Engineer - Java Full Stack in Cairo. The role sits in a high-performing team of software engineers delivering scalable, robust solutions on a microservices platform, and includes coaching and guiding the technical team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, automate testing, document and maintain software applications, and take part in technical requirements elicitation with clients.
• Write code according to project plans and specifications, run unit tests, integrate outputs into deployment packages, manage configurations and releases, perform smoke testing and write release notes.
• Coach the team on best practices, standards and design patterns, review code, take responsibility for code quality, and guide the team in Agile practices.
• Break backlog features into smaller tasks, assign work with the Project Manager, keep the PM updated, and escalate risks and impediments.
• Estimate effort for new features and modules, highlight risks and dependencies, and take part in analysing requirements and designing solution architectures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least 8 years of professional software development experience.
• Frontend development experience required; strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, comfort with fast-paced environments, and very good command of English.

Required skills

• Java and Spring Framework, microservices architecture, SQL and relational database design.
• Cloud-based solutions, Docker, security, authentication and authorization.
• HTML, XML, XSD, XSLT, XPath and web technologies.
• Test-driven development, SDLC, Agile and estimation.
