Lead UX Architect

About the role

We are looking for a Lead UX Architect to shape the user experience of a national‑level digital platform initiative. The role will define the UX vision, design inclusive services, and work closely with product, engineering and policy teams to deliver solutions that impact millions of citizens.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the UX strategy and design system for digital platforms.
• Lead user research, usability testing, and design workshops with diverse stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs that scale across platforms.
• Mentor and grow the design team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Ensure the platform meets international award standards for innovation, inclusivity, and impact.
• Partner with engineering to deliver responsive, accessible, and high‑performance interfaces.

Required profile

• 8+ years of UX/UI experience, including at least 3 years in a lead or principal role.
• Proven track record designing complex, large‑scale platforms (government, healthcare, or enterprise).
• Strong communication and storytelling abilities to engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring designers and collaborating in Agile environments.

Required skills

• Mastery of Figma or equivalent design tools.
• Advanced visual design and prototyping capabilities.
• Deep understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
• Expertise in creating and maintaining design systems.
